Happy Sunday,
One of the best things about being a teacher is the breaks during the school year like Christmas and Spring Break, but one of the worst things is having to go back after these breaks lol.
I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to this weekend, but I wrote a few words. Of course, I erased most of them afterwards because I didn’t like where it was going, but at least some creative juices are flowing. I did a little cleaning - mainly so I could do Pilates in my room - but not all the cleaning I wanted to do. I did, however, get some good rest and I read two great books, both by Jenna Kiernan.
I don’t know why, but I’ve really been in a psychological thriller mood lately. The first book I read was The Ex-wives by Jenna Kernan and it was great. Even though you knew who the bad guy was early on, it was still interesting to see what happened and if anyone else was involved. If you like psychological thrillers, I definitely recommend. The next book of hers I read was The Adoption and though I didn’t like it quite as much as the first book, it was still really good. One thing I really like about her is that she’s American. I’ve read a lot of psychological thrillers that are written by people in Europe or Australia and while they were good, there are certain way they say things or spell things that take me out of the story. After the adoption, I picked up The Nurse by Jenna Kernan, but I’m having a harder time getting into this one. There is so much description of the house and the flowers that I’m like “get to the story already” which brings me to my question for the week. What kind of stories do you like? (Pardon the grammar in the choices, there is a character limit)
I tend to write shorter, fast-paced stories, but I always want to try and write what my readers want, so I’m excited to see what you say. As always, click the button below for great deals on my website.
Afraid I’m off to bed now. That 6:30 am alarm is going to come awfully quickly, but I only have 38 school days until summer. Not that I’m counting! :)
