Summer's coming
I don’t know about you, but I am so looking forward to summer. It’s been a busy few weeks, and I am really looking forward to having some down time to be able to write.
Jackson, Kayleigh, and I just finished up with The Sound of Music. It was a lot of fun but sad too because some of our really talented seniors are graduating and this was their last show. There were a lot of tears lol.
Dean and I watched The Phantom of the Opera Saturday afternoon at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. The singing was amazing and the costumes were breathtaking, but I couldn’t understand half the words and had to watch the teleprompter for a lot of it. I have to say I think I prefer plays and musicals over operas, but it was a fun experience.
Now I’m working on finishing recording an audiobook, scoring for AP tests, and hoping to get some time to write.
I haven’t joined a lot of promos lately, but I did finish a book called The Wedding Lies. It’s a psychological thriller by an author I hadn’t read before - Jade Lee Wright. The story was decent but there were more curse words than I would have liked and there were some repetitive parts. A woman is getting married but her in-laws aren’t the most welcoming and their hiding a secret. I can’t really share more without giving the book away, but it’s in KU if you want to read it.
