Happy almost June. It’s been busy with school nearly ending and yet there’s still so much on my plate.
We had track districts this last week and we’re sending a few kids to state, so that’s my next venture next weekend. In addition, yearbooks are supposed to come in Tuesday and I have to figure out how to glue the supplements in and get them all distributed accurately. Seniors have their finals this next week, so that will give me an extra period to plan, but I do have to finish writing the final. Then, I’m scoring for AP tests next weekend and the following week. I’ve always wanted to do that because then I know how to help my students better, but the pay isn’t bad either and with Spenser starting driver’s ed next month, I could certainly use it.
Summer will be filled with going over curriculum again to see what worked, to see what I can change, to get assignments up for my new class…. And hopefully writing. When I first left teaching at public school, I was worried because the pay cut to work at a private school is real, but thankfully my book sales supplemented that income. Unfortunately, those book sales keep dropping and I haven’t been able to finish a book in months. So, I’d love your prayers that words come back, that sales pick up, that God will provide.
I hope you’re enjoying your May. It’s been warmer here which is nice and I finally rejoined a gym. Not kickboxing, but a Christian place where I can lift and hopefully get my butt back in shape. I did a leg workout yesterday and am planning some arms tomorrow.
I’m hoping to get some words down tomorrow on Memorial Day, but I definitely have a day of rest planned as well. I hope you do too and while you’re resting, why not enjoy some great books. Have a blessed week,
Lorana

Back in high school, Anna and Jake always felt something special between them, but their lives were worlds apart. Now in their 30s—each with past disappointment in their love life—they’re back in Cedarwood Spring, a charming small town bursting with new possibilities.
Anna is a gifted pastry chef on the cusp of a dream come true: launching her own cafe and starring in a reality TV show. But beneath her success lies a hidden fear—what if achieving her dream means losing herself … especially the self she knew with Jake?
Jake is the devoted owner of his family’s historic inn, determined to save it from ruin. With the weight of his family’s legacy on his shoulders, he’s fighting to hold it all together, even if it means putting his own happiness aside.

Love doesn’t follow rules—sometimes it finds you where you least expect it.
When a billionaire hires a single mom to cater his charity events, their clashing worlds and complicated pasts test their ability to trust—and challenge everything they thought they wanted.
Isabel Martinez has poured her heart into building a catering business and protecting her daughter from drama. Life in Maplewood Grove may be quiet, but it’s hers—and she’s finally found peace.
Richard King is a reclusive billionaire with a soft heart, a broken family, and more money than emotional bandwidth. He arrives in town to start fresh... not to fall for his caterer. But when he hires Isabel for a string of high-profile events, sparks start flying (along with fondue skewers).
Isabel isn’t interested in mixing business with romance—especially with a man who represents everything she’s worked so hard to avoid. But as walls come down and unexpected tenderness blooms, both Richard and Isabel must ask:
What if family isn’t something you protect... but something you build?
They're supposed to work together, not fall in love.

The plan was fake dating—not falling for the girl whose heart I broke back in high school.
My reputation and career are on the line.
The girl I used to tease and want, but never deserved, is back in town.
She's smart, sassy, and still mad enough at me to keep it strictly business…
It’s only for the cameras!
Her happy nature will lighten my grumpy image.
What starts as staged hand-holding deepens. Stolen glances, chemistry and trust are what blur every line between pretend and real.
Her growing closer to my son makes the lie feel authentic and I’m falling for her.
When my ex storms back demanding custody. It throws our fake romance into chaos! Leaving Cammie questioning everything and me scrambling not to lose her.
I’m playing for keeps. And I’m not stopping till she’s mine—no matter how many downs it takes.
Against her better judgment, Annie Grey decides to give her ex-boyfriend one more chance. But when their ill-fated reunion spirals into a nightmare, Annie is ensnared in a terrifying web of crime and deceit. All she can do now is run and hope the danger doesn’t catch up to her—but she doesn’t make it far before her mad dash throws her directly into the path of a mysterious stranger.
Sam appears out of nowhere at the exact moment Annie needs help. Unsure whether he’s a good guy or just another liar on the wrong side of the law, she has little choice but to trust him and is soon drawn into a perilous operation with a handpicked crew of criminals. Sam promises his protection while they work together toward a common goal—if only there were a way for Annie to protect her heart from the romantic tension simmering between them. As enemies close in from every side, she is left with no choice. Annie must play her part well if she wants to survive.
I’m a runaway princess. He’s a Hollywood heartthrob. What could possibly go wrong?
Being a princess means living by 1200+ rules—I've counted them all in my leather-bound journal—including Rule #124: "No climbing trees" and Rule #592: "A princess must never leave the palace without security detail." So when I swap my tiara for a goth disguise and escape the palace for a grand adventure as "Amy," I'm breaking every royal protocol imaginable.
Hiding from paparazzi in a costume shop, I meet a gorgeous American stranger who's also on the run. Suddenly I'm making disastrous coffee at a pink café, sharing a lakeside mansion with "Maverick"—aka Hollywood star Ethan Roberts in disguise—and developing feelings that make my heart perform gymnastics. Which was definitelynotcovered in my princess rule book.
Ethan's gotten into the habit of rescuing me—from online con artists, espresso machine explosions, and even breaking Rule #124 when I climbed a tree right to the top, … and promptly got stuck. But as our friendship blooms into something wonderfully more, our carefully constructed facades begin to crack, and our new relationship hangs in the balance.
Can a runaway princess and an actor hiding from fame find their happily-ever-after, or will duty force us back to our separate spotlight lives?
